gonna be honest i misunderstood this a ton at first. i thought babies just weren't allowed to be put on the ground and i thought she gave birth in the senate room itself.
50 years old and having a kid? by the time its out of college you'll be in a home holy shit. also its odd that the house allowed kids on the floor, but the senate never did the same.
Fun fact, the Senate also is still doing a page program, selecting 16 year olds to act as clerks. They have their own high school and everything. The House ended the program because of advancements in tech (also House pages have been part of sex scandals in the past)
Can we replace all the senators with babbies instead
Didn't we already?
Oh so they are finally allowing Trump on the Senate floor?
Even longtime senators decided it would not be disruptive to have Duckworth’s child on the floor. “Babies on the Senate floor? We got a lot of crybabies on there now,” said Sen. Pat Roberts (R-Kan.), an 81-year-old serving his 22nd year in the Senate.
Honestly, I'm more amazed Tammy Duckworth had a kid at 50.
