I have not play much rust only 600 hours. I normally get to the point that we have ak's and some wipes a m249, but i have never gotten a LR. Maybe unlucky?
they just changed (buffed) the heli drops. So yes - you were unlucky (with a bad loot table on airdrops to contribute to that)...
Plus the Ch47 drop is rumored to be same/better then the heli - so now you have 2 drops (2x the chance) to get good stuff, like LR-200, between the Patrol Heli and Ch47 crates.
i.e = your chances at LR-200 have at least been doubled since this last patch in April (not including loot tables buff)
