This is a true photochemical film recreation. There are no digital tricks, remastered effects, or revisionist edits. This is the unrestored film - that recreates the cinematic event that audiences experienced fifty years ago." - Christopher Nolan I'm so fucking hyped for this. It looks so great compared to the last time I saw this (I mean the last time I saw this it was on VHS so IDK)
I really hope this plays close to me but I fuuuuuuuucking doubt it.
God that looks fucking GORGEOUS, I am going to see this.
Holy hell, a lot of those scenes look like they're from a movie coming out today,
2001: A Space Odyssey has aged fantastically.
oh my god, It's full of stars
I cracked up because they did a modern cliche trailer. Would love to see it.
I'm not ready hold me
i am loathe to admit that i haven't seen this film ever, but if this release plays near me i think i will make it be my first time.
If you're going to watch it for the first time, a 70mm release would be the best way.
I hope it comes to the cineramadome.
Beautiful. It would be an unforgivable sin if they dared to edit this movie.
Was thinking about rewatching this just the other day, guess I'll wait a little longer.
For a film that's 50 years old it still looks shockingly contemporary to this day.
2001's an incredible film. There's a real craft to the pacing and music that sets the tone of each scene so well. This trailer's hilarious, though - I know modern trailers often have the crime of spoiling bits of films, but this was almost the whole movie.
the fact that this film came out a year before we landed on the moon amazes me. the effects a phenomenal.
To be fair to the trailer, everybody knows what 2001 is about, it is a 50 years old movie despite not looking like it.
I've never seen 2001 I guess I'll see it :O
