The idea is to have new traps in the game. It will be a ram that is attached to the ceiling in front of the door (the door is broken, goes a little farther and gets hit by a ram with a deadly or very serious damage and the ram either rises back to the top or moves forward and backward. Poisonous gas that will be in a propane tank. The trap is activated by attacking the plate on the floor (an anti-personnel mine that does not explode but launches a trap). The gas reduces visibility, as with a grenade, which causes the airdrop and causes damage over time (until death). By the way, the pressure plate would include a ram. The hidden door - this trap suddenly blocks the exit from the room. Placed above the door on the ceiling and if the door is broken then the trap replaces the door sinking down. Plates with spikes - fastened to the ceiling and fall on the enemies when you press the plate or break the stretch. Traps like ram - by action are like ram, but can be installed on walls and on the floor. Outwardly they look like big forks (or a paw / hand with spikes that have been bent in the middle so that when activated, this design gets into the hole in the holes and injures / kills the enemy. The machine for starting saw blades - similar to the one that launches balls only here rushes from the saws. Works on low quality fuel, shells are made separately. It is either deadly or causing serious damage. Analog traps from a shotgun on the action only range is greater. Machine for throwing a spear - shoots with wooden or spears with a stone tip (more damage). Outwardly it looks like a large crossbow fixed in a special support and standing on the ground. Shoots automatically. All these traps would wear out over time, for some it is necessary to make projectiles and other things. They would not be particularly expensive to manufacture.
I like the trap where the Door gets replaced by another door as a trap. it could be in the form of a rolled up Metal mat. There would be Long magnetic strips on both sides of the door frame. when the metal map gets drops I gets magnetized so it can't be pushed from the outside, the raiders would then have to spend more resources to break the trap,
traps are hella gay so miss me with that
I like the idea od adding more traps. Well, a system of players killed by traps loosing their gear (like explosives) in favor of the base owner would nerf offline raiding.
Those traps that are in the game are already good but you need more options to turn your house into a maze of death (the size of such a maze depends on whether one player is in the house or in it a clan). At least the raiders will suffer.
I always build vent traps, so they fall down and can not retrieve it without blowing everything up... But I feel that I deserve their lost explosives and precious ak's after I log in the next day. We DEFINATELLY need more options. Like triggers opening and closing doors (those promised logic gates). Or maybe... Toxic gases? I would love some. Spiked balls on ropes, like in the Legacy's concept art would come in handy too... And whai is missing is the possibility to... Put double doors in the floorframes! That's perfectly legitimate and still missing.
Just give us trained attack doges and maybe chickens or something.
I want breakaway floors.
More types of effective traps a definite must. Now that building is no longer the puzzle to make or raid, meaning much simpler to raid ... traps are the way forward I guess. Or ... is that going to create too many entities for high pop servers to handle?
I'd like TRAP traps (get in and can't easily get out type), as in walk into a room, that poison gas starts spreading AND some door obstruction drops on the exit (if you did not take time to disable them first). Perhaps in conjunction with some electrical components, generator, etc.
I agree on nerfing offline raiding, but adding spiketraps? This is rust, not fortnite.
I want more traps, my only issue with yours would be the space they'd take, but the ideas? Love them!
I also like traps , but we need some different ones , tripwire traps (claymore) and traps that are activated by infra red would also be good, already got the red "targeting" light , so a lit red light is already available, I would also like to upgrade wooden floor spikes into metal, I would also like to be able to place traps and floor spikes under water as we used to be able to do , if you try now you get the "drink" message popup , I would also like to be able to place "landmines" on walls .
