• Head bob? Flightless bird body flail more like.

The head bob in Rust seems to be fairly well implemented to simulate the human vestibulo-ocular reflex. In game your body moves yet your aim point does not. However, when I run I tuck my elbows; I think most people do. Also when running my head bobs up and down not side to side, same with my hands. In Rust when you're running you flail your elbows like a chicken running from a naked, and sway your head side to side like your neck is on a jello swivel. IIRC head bob was introduced into video games for two reasons. To add to the immersion of the game and to make it difficult to aim when sprinting. If the reason that the Rust developers have head bob is to add to immersion then please add an option to turn it off. Having my elbows flapping around and any head light waving side to side breaks immersion for me. If the reason is to cause weapon aim and hit difficulty when moving or sprinting. Than a subtle hidden adjustment to the aim values, without affecting the visual image presented to the user, would make more sense. I know this exists already in the code, changes to bullet hit without player knowledge are easily made. If I were to move my body when running the way that it moves in the game Rust; my arms and head would move side to side independently as if my neck were made of jello. An up and down movement would make much more sense. Placing the aim modifications for head bob in the code separate from the GUI would mean that it wouldn't matter of the user turns it off, it would only change the graphic representation. This probably would also help people who get motion sickness from the movement on screen. TL:DNR; please add an option to turn off the graphical representation of "head bob" in the game.
