https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eud9RkgqvME This video's pretty old but I just watched it pretty recently and it blew my mind. This guy put so much effort into something only a really small amount of people will ever see (this video is the only one I could find of the map and it has a pretty paltry amount of views). It's just rad, I wish I could see more stuff like this in modern games
hondo maps are all pure insanity
Any notable ones like this worth checking out?
I have a vague recollection of a Sven Co-Op map that looked a lot like this, but was this like, futuristic hotel?
The guy who made this video has a few others worth looking into if you go to his uploads. 5am is definitely worth looking into just because it's such a trip that I'm amazed anybody was able to figure out. Rockpapershotgun posted an article about it even : Action Half
Ive been subscribed to this guy ever since these videos were posted here last time and its always amusing to see his vacation videos or some dyi project hes doing pop up in my youtube feed, like im creeping into some strangers life. Although I guess its not really that creepy if hes posting it into a public youtube channel. For all I know, im still waiting for another hondo map video.
This shit is crazy. Like, imagine somehow stumbling across this during a regular multiplayer game.
AHL_5AM is still my favourite Hondo map.
Has anyone actually heard from Hondo within the last ~8 years? Its sorta strange how he just dropped off the face of the earth.
goldsrc maps had some of the best and weirdest hidden shit. I still remember playing sven coop when I was younger, and working together with people to specifically find all the hidden shit in some of the maps. zp_ytmnd in particular(could have originally been a cs map tho) had tons of hidden shit, and was just a blast to play to begin with. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HDdWk4M9mMc
