im on a warhammer roll
that is a huge muzzle flash
teach me the ways of your post processing tho
i think the space used to show Castur's legs would be better dedicated to zooming in on the action, putting the left-most marines closer to the camera, and rotating them towards the viewer a little. you can't really see what those guys are doing because they're facing away from the camera, and the angle is tilted upwards to show off everybody's legs instead of the action, if you see what i mean.
my muzzle flashes solely consist of ingame particles or the muzzleflash model lmao
as for post processing, i use both after effects and photoshop
after effects i use to add a first pass of color correction (after rendering the scene at either 4k or 3k if i feel like scaling it down for more detail) and the optical flare for the eyes
after that, i render it into a psd and open it in photoshop, where i use a secondary depth pass (done with r_depthoverlay 1 and r_showz_depth <value> i think) to add both a better-than-source™ depth of field effect and also use it as a mask in order to add some nice deep-looking ground fog for the sake of adding volume to the image
then i use another color correction pass to add some contrast, vignette, minor chromatic aberration in some cases and a few color adjustments for the sake of clarity, slap it all together and render it after scaling it to 1080-1440p
now that you are at least adept at the art of color correction, you have to teach me your ways of creating borderline digital paintings with sfm and photoshop painting
