I thought that this wasn't allowed. I know ladders are already kind of OP but if you can place them on high external stone walls than whats the point? They are not serving their purpose and are practically useless.

Most people don't get the ladder BP any way so it really dose not matter. But it is really easy to die while going up the. And if you put a turret on the other side the they have to drain or blow through.

Anyone who has a clue - try to get ladder asap - its like the 2nd most important raiding(scouting) tool after getting satchels...

I have no trouble finding ladders early BP wipe.
Its relatively high scrap research cost reflects how useful it is for raiding regardless of external walls.
Generally I try to find all the 20 scrap BP stuff then experiment on WB1 because of the items that normally cost 250 to research, including ladder, double barrel, shotgun trap. LOL
I hate that the ladders can be placed all the way up on the barb wire, thats the only issue i see!
