Where can I find information about the behavior of scientists? Specifically the ones found near junk piles. I join servers and there are dozens of scientists swarming around junk piles now, and half the time they shoot at me, half they time they don't. They've shot at me while I was a fresh spawn naked, but other times don't shoot at me when I'm carrying weapons fully clothed. It makes no sense. I have tried to read the devblog to find information about scientist behavior, and the devblog is just a bunch of picture spam and stupid memes. I then tried to watch Shadowfrax update about the scientist rollout, and all he said was "scientists will now be found at junk piles". Uh.... yeah. This is annoying.
What triggers an attack from a scientist?
Why are there so many in very small areas (up to 6 or 8 within a 5 second run)?
dont get near the or mess with them
What annoys me, is they have ridiculous accuracy!
So I am spawned in game with a bow, and think I can take this scientist down and grab whatever loot in those barrels and container right? WRONG, night time starts to set in and I am thinking sweet he cannot even see me....
WRONG! I proceed to get into position and wait for him to turn his flashlight on, I hit him in the head with an arrow, he fires directly at me in the dark across the street behind a rock???????
They don't see you they seem to just aggro and fire at your code location! I think they need changing to be more ai oriented.
not have your gun out dont get in there faces and they will not attack you
naked with rock - "exterminate, exterminate"
Go to the trash piles where there are no Scientists, they are not at everyone of them
No my point, was they can shoot you with 98% accuracy in the night across the field.
And my point was that they are not at every trash pile and they are dressed in bright blue and easily seen , so go to the trash piles where there are none. no one can do anything about the accuracy and if you think its a bug report it by using F7 bug report
