Rather an odd way to start off I never worry about a base till i have sufficient food to survive . I gather as much "free" material as i can while harvesting, after making a stone axe and pickaxe i make sure i pick enough hemp to make a bow and arrow to hunt and protect myself with and then for clothing. River systems are a good place to pick mushrooms , pumpkins and corn , desert areas are good for harvesting cacti for food and cloth, There is plenty of free wood, stone and metal ore laying around to make things easier ,
why would you prioritize food over a base!?!?
Because there is no point in building a base until you have checked the map for the position of all the other player bases and resources, And full health means survival when attacked by players (with low health) or animals/cacti/falls/radiation,
I dont build a base until i have the resources to make it two floors with a cupboard to protect it, When experimental first came out there could up to three or four wipes on some days so you got a lot of practice building bases , I have built thousands of them so they are not a priority with me but full health and a good stock of food/bandages/bow/arrows/tools/clothing are, clothing enables you to survive in cold biomes where other players might not go,
Similar approach here. My first main focus is to get away from spawn.
When I can breath check the map and get an idea where I'd like to build.
The only things I farm for are bow, arrows, stone tools (unless I find metal ones) and health.
Make a bag and when I get near to where I want to build, slap it down somewhere hidden.
Only then farm for a base.
Been rolled too many times with enough stuff for a base and no where near where I wanted to be.
wtf was this comment; and full health means survival when attacked by players or animals/CACTI/falls/radiation. WTF who dies to a cacti!?!?
and how does food mean full health whne you can just get cloth
when you have played a little longer you will realise that if you have low health and get wounded by a cacti you can die. I realise that not everyone has played this game for a long time and only get to play when they get home from school and i am sorry for that, The aim of the game is survival and that means maintaining your health as high as you can so that you can survive if attacked if you dont understand this i am very sorry for you. and wtf does cloth do for you when you are thirsty and hungry ?
