https://www.nytimes.com/2018/04/24/us/politics/debbie-lesko-arizona-congress.html Things to Note: This is a district that has only elected Republicans for four decades. Democrats didn't even field candidates for the past two elections. The median age of voters voting before Election Day from this district was 67. While Lesko's opponent fundraised more money, the Republican party funneled roughly $1 million into this election This district overwhelmingly voted Trump in 2016, with a margin of over 20 points Despite this, Lesko won by less than 6 points.

That little blip around Litchfield park is hilarious. Not surprised that Surprise is Democratic now, but Sun City West moving away from Republican is a big surprise.
I made an oopsie, the votes are still being counted, it's just already been called still at >6% though, I'll update as the number comes out definitely looks like a dramatic drop from that +20 though
Will the gop be able to fund millions for formerly safe seats like this one and the one in Pennsylvania nationwide for the midterms?
Look at that map. not a single county has become more Republican since 2016. How is that not ringing alarm bells over at the RNC? When will they stop doubling down?

Only thing about all these big flips is sometimes I worry that people only do this because they get fed up with one party and decide to try the other one for awhile, and that they don't see the long term creep of bad policy from the GOP.
Quite possibly. They're the party of the billionaire corporations, after all.
Hopefully the Trump train doesn't stop until they're able to actually learn why the GoP is against their best interests, but that's wishful
Ha! Suggesting people learn...
"Ha we're winning so hard, stupid liberals don't even know what hit em, noone can stop this winning streak!"
Just keep letting them think that. If we're lucky a ton of Republican voters will just stay home if they think everything is going to be fine.
