I hate this fucking argument, yes, any money can go into people who desperately need it, sure. But this case is serious since it will send people to prison for making a fucking joke about one of the worst group of people to ever trot the globe. And the courts making this dangerous precedent that could send an innocent man or woman to jail for a joke would in turn add another statistic to the unemployed chart since it ruins your career.
Holy shit Dankula might just be one of the thickest fuckers Destiny has ever had on. Destiny isn't a master debater by any stretch of the definition, but in the first 15 minutes I think he's done more than enough to show Dankula is an absolute imbecile. Watching videos of things happening is not proof of a statistical fact such as "the left are more violent". Videos have inherent bias based on the person recording, the person editing and the person uploading the bastard thing.
Anyone trying to claim Dankula hasn't gone off the right leaning deep end by this point is deluded. The guy appears to have been doing little but consuming media to prove his bias that ~the left~ are all violent thugs. Rather than actually prove his point he's just being a snarky dickhead and trying to laugh it off. I'm starting to understand fully why he willingly went with the former EDL leader as a court buddy.

the point is, it's irrelevant what his personal views are, this could have been anyone and the only reason he's being targeted like this is because the joke is deliberately being taken out of context to arbitrarily decide that a video of a pug jokingly being "trained to be a nazi" is somehow hate speech

Oh I do know that. I'm not saying him appearing to be a farther right leaning nutcase than people want to admit has bearing on the precedent the case itself can set.
If anything the fact this shit is happening (including the lyrics thing that happened to someone else earlier in the month) are a bigger indictment of the Tory government than anything because these laws have been around for years now, and the government has never abused them in a way that genuinely concerned almost everyone, until a certain party took power 🤔 A bunch of conservative prudes wanting to clamp down on language shouldn't come as a shock really.
