Depending on where he lives, he can legally withhold rent until they fix the issue, and if he has rental insurance, you can stay at a hotel til they fix the problem. If all else false, you can legally end the lease early, and find a better place to live. But that depends on the country, and state he lives in.

I feel his pain with being unable to use his computer. My computer has been restarting randomly and its been disruptive so I've taken it for repairs 3 times now but I"m still waiting to get it back.

I didn't know mold was a big deal, nearly every house I've been in has mold in the bathroom. Then again, none of that mold was yellow and smelt of mushrooms. Some weird Polish mold I guess.
Ross has lived in Poland for like, half a decade now. And he got married back in October. He has talked about it quite a lot actually, it has been mentioned a couple of times in the Game Dungeon, and pretty regularly he talks about it in the video chats.
When he starts talking about the whole district having mold problems and showing the side of the building with all the weird spots it feels like the beginning of a "found footage" horror movie about some biological alien attack.
Mold is a VERY big deal and can potentially kill you among other things.
I know some of it can be bad, but if all of it was so bad, I think millions of people would be dead by now. That shit's basically everywhere, you'd probably have to rebuild a third of the country to get all of it.
I'd say it depends on where. I know that I've never lived in a place where shower walls and the like don't develop mildew and the like after a bit of time and need to be spritzed with cleaner and wiped down, but that by the same token I'd be pretty worried if I were in a situation like Ross and it was starting to show up everywhere.
So I checked his donations page and apparently he got 5000 dollars more this month then the last month. I wonder if this video has anything to do with that.
The black stuff that runs off of walls on the side may just be grime from heavy traffic exhaust fumes settling down on the wall and running down with the rain. That's pretty common near highways and stuff.

The wall and carpet was soaked in water and over the next few weeks the mold was getting increasingly worse and setting off my allergies. The entire room had to be sealed off and it took months to replace the walls, get new carpet and drapes and everything else that was ruined. Thankfully my parents have insurance so the only real money sink were these stupid expensive drapes my mom insisted on buying, which was about a whopping $3000
I guess the radioactive clouds from Chernobyl (pretty close to Poland) made a lot of things (molds included) worse and stronger.
It's not so much that millions would be dead, but that millions probably have had years of their life shaved off by living with mold.

Maybe, but most modern American homes are cheaply built and overpriced. Your core walls are plywood over wood frame stuffed with fiberglass insulation. Outside is usually plastic siding (not watertight) or more wood, while the interior is covered in drywall and then painted or with wallpaper over it. Overall, most of the structure provides places for mold to grow off of, all it takes is one hole for rainwater or one leaky pipe in the wall. And as I said above, bathrooms that aren't vented (most of them lack a ventilation system) are always moldy unless the homeowner is especially adamant about keeping a spotless bathroom.

As someone who knows nothing about mold, why is this making him minimize his computer usage? I understand why he isn't making videos for the moment, but why not use the computer at all? The fans?
