her voice is so annoying... i actually cant stand this
Damn, she savages Sarah Huckabee Sanders.
I'm seeing a lot of people say this went too far, can't say I feel that way considering she's a mouthpiece for spreading lies and ignorance to the public. So what if she looked sad while a comedian made jokes about her, when you're the official spokesperson for this poisonous administration you're going to become a target.

The one thing Trump doesn't like when making fun of him is his money.
Tasteless jokes from a tasteless person about a tasteless person. Would've been better if they we're at least funny.
Speak for yourself. I thought these jokes were great and did exactly what comedy is supposed to do - be funny, be honest, send a message, and push boundaries.
True, but the narrative is that they were one sided and helped trump look good saying the media is one sided.

which this is more helping trump.
I mean the joke they're forgetting his, "you say you hate him, but you really love him".
This article sums up how I feel about specifically the remarks towards Sanders.

Wolf went for lots of low-hanging fruit
There are LOTS of way to go after Sanders. I personally think that she is overly antagonistic to the reporters who cover the White House and misleads on the regular. But to make fun of Sanders' makeup? ("I think she's very resourceful, like she burns facts and then she uses that ash to create a perfect smokey eye. Maybe she's born with it, maybe it's lies," said Wolf.) Like, really?
I know lots of liberals will -- and already have via Twitter -- painted the attacks on Sanders as the press secretary getting what she deserved. I don't subscribe to that idea. Sanders showed up, sat on the dais and played along. She knew she was likely to get made fun of. But she would have no reasonable expectation that Wolf would go after her looks and refer to her as an "Uncle Tom, but for white women who disappoint other white women."
I'm stunned that Sanders sat five feet away from Wolf and just took it.
Being funny is one thing. Bullying people because you can is another. And Wolf's treatment of Sanders was bullying.
And, yes, by the way, Trump is a massive bully. Making fun of a disabled reporter, stereotyping ethnic groups, attacking reporters for how they look -- all of that stuff is totally and completely unacceptable. And he knows exactly what he is doing, which makes it worse.
But two wrongs don't make it right. Because Trump bullied a disabled reporter doesn't mean Wolf should be able to bully Sarah Sanders. Bullying is bullying. And it's wrong. Always.
I don't think Sarah Sanders is anyone to be revered, and certainly isn't protected from critique. Nor is she great at her job, treating the media as the enemy and complacent in the Administrations propaganda schemes. but this just felt like mean spirited bullying of someone that couldn't fight back. I get that it's a roast but generally roasts are humorous or at least get a good "daaamn" out of me but this just felt embarrassing.
I haven't watched the rest of the roast yet so maybe it's funny in parts and maybe she drops some good points of political commentary, but the jokes on Sanders were weak and she could've done better. People are just holding it up because it tears down someone they hate. It propagates the toxic vitiriol that plaques both sides.
The Sanders jokes weren't good comedy. That's my two cents. 5/10.
Holy fuck she is my hero. She clowned that entire room. I wouldn't have the balls to shit on Huckabee as she's sitting 4 feet away from me.
ffs it was a joke about her makeup, not her fucked up face. I think she'll live.
This was amazing, esp her calling out the media.
Well, I mean, calling her a gym teacher was close enough
You'd think she'd have executed Sanders live on TV given how some people are choosing to describe it. Her jokes about Sanders weren't even that bad. All she did was call her a liar, call her aunt Lydia, comment on her makeup (which if I remember she didn't even insult, just use as a point to call her a liar?), and say she was bad for women. People are overreacting so much tbf - for comedy, this stuff was tame and none of what she said was particularly false too.
I found the first five minutes pretty funny, but honestly after that I think the jokes just fell flat.
Sanders lies to the public without a second thought. She’d tell you the sky is green if you could see it was blue at the time and she’s berate you for doubting her. That’s her role. I feel like having a joke about makeup is just going to trip people up. She didn’t insult her look. She insulted her relationship with facts, “maybe it’s lies” rather than “maybe it’s maybeline”.
really not that bad
Comedy Central is really lacking talent nowadays :/.
I mean not really, tons of people found this funny and poignant
It's just easy to be offended by it
but when the government is actually headed up by someone who insults, degrades, and attacks people with everything he has all the time these kinds of complaints seem to be aimed at the
wrong targets.
People need to grow thicker skin. Her jokes were targeted toward shitty, horrible people who care about nothing more than lining their pockets, no matter who it effects in deeply negative ways. They deserved it, and deserve a lot more than a mild roast from a comedian.
I've never seen her before and hope to never see her again.
That cold death stare Sanders responds with.
I only ever saw these remarks during Obama and I want to say it was balanced for both sides back then. Here most of it was good but it got a bit boring overall because only a couple of jokes were for the "anti-Trump".

I have no issues with the roasting, but perhaps its just me, but I didn't found it that funny
