Home Secretary Amber Rudd has
resigned, Downing Street has said, after claims she misled Parliament
over targets for removing illegal migrants.
Ms Rudd, who was due to make a Commons statement on Monday, was under pressure to resign over the Windrush scandal.
She faced criticism over her knowledge of Home Office removals targets.
Labour's
deputy leader Tom Watson said Ms Rudd was "carrying the can for the
person originally responsible for this scandal - Theresa May".
Good riddance. Wish the rest of the conservative party would follow suit
Not surprised.
I was. Seeing how May held out on calls for her to resign, I was expecting Rudd to do the same and have this all blow over. They can be persistent bastards at times, so this caught me off-guard
Resignation letter, she admits chatting shit to the Home Affairs Select Committee. Also word on the street is that this was Rudd's decision, she wasn't fired by May

May wouldn't have been the one to fire her, Rudd was one of her last actual supporters and she probably would have been happy waiting for this to blow over. Now its her and a cabinet that can barely hide its hate of her.
The worst thing there is the lack of Oxford comma
No, they actually merged the fire and intelligence services into one agency as a cost-saving measure. Next Bond film will focus on a Russian plot to get cats stuck in trees
well that didn't take long.
Good, she waved through some utterly retarded shit that affected a fuck ton of people from immigrants to gun owners, glad to see her go.
