Hey everyone, I just migrated my old account. Can't believe its been 11 years since I first joined. I recently entered a contest in a hip hop music video contest, (just wait) I don't like mainstream rap. Its usually garbage and I am trying to change that with a conscious and spiritual tone. I REALLY NEED THE SUPPORT of my fellow gamers from this forum I love. If I win this contest, I get $2000, and a repost to 1.7 million people. With the amount of time and work as well as musical makeup that I put into this. I really do feel I can win with your support. It may not be your cup of tea, but even if don't like it, your support would mean the world to me. THANK YOU!!!! http://wshe.es/zSnR0J68 - VOTING LINK - just an email. - can vote once every 24 hours. THANK YOU!!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WKnott1QFOU I wish my editing was cleaner, I had to get my video in before the deadline otherwise all my effects would be seamless. If its any consolation. Any feedback is appreciated. If you do like, hit me with a sub, comment, like whatever. THANK YOU!!!
Honestly I didn't think it was that bad. A couple of things though: You sound really really close to the mic, you either gotta step back from it a bit or something because it feels really loud. The girl (Tone Red?) has a good vocal track, it meshes will with the BGM. For example, listen to this dude's who is in the same contest: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yc96HgvSuSk Notice how it doesn't have those weird static pops you hear every so often. So like I was saying, your's isn't bad, but the audio quality left something to be desired. The flying text also felt really out of place, I don't see many music videos that use text like that at all, and if they do it's extremely stylized and used throughout the rest of the video.
Im well aware of his video and I am competing with him. I appreciate the feedback. The issue being with my recording, is that I had this mix/mastered, and I went to my friend and told him that the treble was a little high. Which he couldn't hear on his studio monitors. Then his computer died, and I was left with this version several days before the deadline. The entire time during this contest, I have had so mannnnyy things go wrong and managed to prevail over them, this is my first music video edit. The text on "thoughts, and some statements" was to keep it fresh, I don't like repeating the same thing over and over if that gives you any insight. Again. Thank you for the feedback. Im going to try and see if somehow I can reupload my video and find a way to redo it without losing votes, and views.
