Happened in the same building my mom works at. I figure he was climbing around in the ceiling panels trying to spy on the womens washroom, and slipped into the space behind the wall.

That's happened to some of the older guys in my security department. We used to own some apartment buildings across from our complex and whenever the super had to check on a suspicious odour they'd go in as well. My old supervisor saw more than one old lady decomposed in her tub.

Maybe he went in after hours, fell out of consciousness, and never came back?

Maybe the wall he fell into was so tight he struggled to call out and lost consciousness?
Horrible way to go regardless, can't imagine what went through his head. Hopefully he broke his neck or something in the fall and wasn't stuck there for days.
