Portland is strange af huh
there goes my main dealer in red bricks
I'm glad we're focusing on the real criminals of the world.
I guess Portlandia was a documentary.
What's with your sarcasm here, they were reselling stolen property, seems like a real crime to me
You're right, I did it for the snark without looking into it too much. But still, a lego black market is amusing.
When I hear about people moving bricks, I don't think lego.
Article is clickbait as fuck
Calling one guy who pays a few other guys to shoplift legos a "crimering" and "hotbed of lego crime" is quite an exaggeration.
Guess you gotta get your brick from Mexico like everyone else now.
The disadvantaged proletariat is reclaiming the private property, and the notion of "real crime" is something made up by the bourgeoisie.

Man this article has some harrowing images with it, look at this scumbag!
Im surprised this has finally made the news (of sorts).
When I worked security for Barns and Nobel Legos were a hot ticket item of theifs. The security company I worked for actually tracked a team that started in Texas and made their way up 35 stealing Legos from various stores along the way. They finally got caught by one of our guys at a different store here in Minnesota.
Stealing Legos is apparently a pretty lucrative buisness.
lego BLOCK market
I mean just look at the prices of sets or parts.
I'm more worried about this guy:

In all seriousness, I've had a friend who bought a smaller set of Lego from Walmart. When he opened it up, he found out that a shoplifter stole the Lego inside, and filled up the box with random junk from the store.
Luckily the Walmart gave him his money back.
you gotta attract people to your site
Hey, psst, wanna buy some Lego? I've got loads of colours, even some multi-coloured, Bricks, Flat, Curved, Transparent, come and take a look.
People in Portland think Portlandia is a conservative trick.
Interesting, in those photos a lot of the boxes are Walmart shipping boxes. I wonder if they were ripping off trucks for lego
I honestly wish the show had never been made, because it seems to have cultivated this "oh, Portland is so quirky and cool!" meme. It's attracted tons of hipsters and other airheads who move here and crank up property values and push the city's gentrification with more trendy uninspired garbage stores and pretentious restaurants.
