Cobb has been the leader of the 'cooperate with Mueller' camp within Trump's legal team, pushing for documents to be handed over freely and aides to be allowed to be interviewed. But he's also spent the last six months or so assuring Trump that any day now Mueller is going to finish his probe and exonerate the President, as long as he cooperates fully.
Dunno what's happened here but it was always obvious that at some point Trump would stop listening to him.
