Don't autoplay embeds. Especially don't autoplay plural embeds in a single post.

That was real heckin' annoying.
Seems like this might be browser-specific, I've seen people complain about it before yet nothing has ever autoplayed for me, not twitch, not facebook
Using Firefox 61 btw
I'm using Firefox 59.0.3 and I have twitch autoplaying. AFAIK nothing else is autoplaying now but there could be some obscure file host that does.
The fault is normally with how embed.ly generates its cards, I'm not sure if there is an option to define if video media should autoplay or not but the blame is mostly third party.
Also using Firefox 59.0.1, Twitch doesn't auto-embed, also haven't encountered this on my desktop at home which is running the latest stable build.
Its really hit and miss, another problem is that the forums has embed.ly and native embed support for a few sites, youtube and twitch are the main two and because of this they sometimes embed weirdly.
This might be what is causing it, as embed.ly embeds for facebook and reddit for example, autoplay.
I'm using chrome 66 and they don't autoplay for me.
Its Chrome 66. They have an "intelligent" autoplay system now that determines on which sites stuff will autoplay.
It is kinda bad right now as it has almost no sample size but it will eventually autoplay everything you want.
You can look at chrome://media-engagement to see how sites rank.
Not exactly sure where you can manually change stuff right now, haven't looked.
Only thing I've seen autoplay is reddit embeds, but they're muted by default so they might as well be gifs ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
On Chrome 66, only thing I've seen auto-play is reddit embeds, at full volume. This page of the Fortnite thread was rather bad about it, with one of those autoplays being the 5th post.
Weird, I'm on the same chrome as you and it didn't autoplay for me.
After updating to Firefox Dev Edition 61.0b2 the twitch embeds aren't autoplaying any more. Huzzah?
