Anything can happen if most people do nothing about it, and that's exactly what the GOP is expecting. They're probably right, too.

Citizens are easy to distract, politicians are more focused on staying in office and maintaining the income from lobbyists and industries, and investigative agencies are constantly being threatened by the executive branch.

Everyone's so worried about themselves and their own narratives that the world around them can burn for all they care. Nobody wants to be good, everybody wants to be right. Nobody wants progress, they want victory. That's what this country's high-class culture is all about, goddamn selfishness and self-righteousness.
