I haven't be able to find a answer by google, but all the blacks have this ghosting\bleed thats very distracting in pretty much all games. This is a otherwise perfect monitor for me, but this one issue has be very annoying. Anyone know the reason why it bleeds badly like is it a setting in the monitor?
Take a photo of it? This is like the one situation where taking a picture of something on your monitor is acceptable.
Try playing with your backlight, contrast, and anti-ghosting/overdrive settings if your monitor has them.
I've tried but it doesn't show up as it happens in motion its confusing.
That sounds more like ghosting to me.
Well if it's anything like their phones, somehow (maybe QLED is like AMOLED?), upping the brightness will alleviate the ghosting black-inking effect
Ill try the brightness, I have the response time at the fastest setting, and low input lag setting off since it messes with visuals. I want to try updating the firmware but I can't figure out how to get that done.
You need to format a USB stick to FAT32 and put only the newest firmware .bin on there. Then you plug it into the monitor and it should ask you if you want to update after a few seconds.
If it errors out saying "can't find files" that apparently means that you're already on the newest firmware. You can check by bumping up the last digit of the files version number, which should make it detect it and display the current version it would be upgrading from.
This is an unfortunate issue of this monitor, I have an older variant and it suffers from the same thing - Purple/green smearing with grey colors on dark backgrounds and vice versa.
It's a side effect of the type of panel it uses, the pixels aren't able to switch colors nearly fast enough.
You can somewhat offset it by maxing out the response time in the OSD but there's no real fix, unfortunately.
Gotcha after some color fiddling it starting to look better gotta get used to it I guess
You learn to deal with it, heh.
I still love mine to bits.
Yeah overall I'm still in love with this monitor the picture on this thing is amazing.
