I mean I don't think they let inmates out of prison to visit funerals, so as long as McCain lives a few more years I don't think he'll have to worry about Trump attending
I think a few more years might be optimistic. He's got an extremely aggressive form of brain cancer. Given that he's already making funeral plans, and earlier stated that he "wouldn't be here" for much longer, I think we're probably looking at months, rather than years.
Would be strange planning your own funeral. Even though it's a common thing for elderly people to do. Grandparents had their plots picked out. It's just kinda erie to think about planning your own death.
Huh. Shows and plays fine on my screen. I'll just update OP with the link to the actual page!
I'm going to have to make this same request for my eventual funeral.
"lol wasn't even planning on coming"
Trump's base would applaud that as a "power move."
God I just thought, what if there are westboro style protests at the funerals of Pelosi, Clinton etc
I hope he can get treatment and recover, nobody deserves to suffer from such terrible diseases.
if clinton dies within the next ~ten years, expect a massive uproar of right-wing psychos celebrating like the death of Mussolini
Hopefully whatever security is there tells him to fuck off if that actually happens.
...Let's be honest; if Trump's response to the last funeral for Bush is any indication, McCain needn't worry as it's not like Trump has the maturity or attention span to show up
Or the balls, for that matter.
McCain's cancer has a 1 year survival rate of 4%
McCain has always seemed like one of those politicians that seems genuine a lot of the time (admittedly not backing it up more often than not). He, however, is a prime example of a civil politician and I think there's a lot that people on all sides can take from that sort of civility; it's about political difference and treating people with the respect they deserve.
Sweet bro and hella McCain.
One of his regrets in his career was not choosing Leiberman as his VP pick instead of Palin.
He'll be one of the last civil politicians we'll see for a long time with the political polarizing that has struck us.
I'm really bothered by the fact that we even have "Civil Politician" as a category and not as the norm.
Imagine if he were to just keep on truckin' and completely fucking bamboozle medical scientists everywhere.
"Sen. McCain passes away at 104"
"Shame that Sen. McCain didn't let me attend his funeral! I was just like him, you know, a war vet! Sad, just sad!"
IMO it'd be less of a power move and more of a "WOW, HE'S SUCH A TRUE FRIEND, HE CAME AND SHOWED HIS SUPPORT ANYWAY, SO COMPASSIONATE."
Sure, he might be a republican, but I like how he never blindly followed the party, and he speaks out against his own party ideology at times
Uh... He spoke out a lot, but he voted along party lines a lot in more recent times despite vocally objecting.
He did at least stop the Obamacare repeal.
lets not spread misinformation
