Call me a noob or a piece of shit or whatever but I like playing games on God Mode cause i just find it more fun. I am now playing Divinity Original Sin 2 and using god mode cheats on Cheat Engine and I just finished 50% of the game (just left the island and am now on the ship) in less than 2 or 3 hours or gameplay.
Last week I beat Fallout 2 within like 5 or 6 hours using a god mode cheat with Cheat Engine.
Do you guys enjoy using cheats and god mode?
I usually use just use cheats after I beat a game legit at least once.
good point. I actually beat MGS5 except for the last battle without cheats and really enjoyed the game.
I mainly like isometric RPGs and with those I just have fun and go around killing shit and leveling up super fast since i use god mode.
SpeedHack in CheatEngine is absolute godsend, I'm still mad that I found this feature way too late.
Walking to some places in speed of light barely (if ever) feels like cheating.
Changing values in CheatEngine to avoid/minimalize gring? Sometimes.
About godmodes - same as earlier posts (already beaten games).
Cheat engine to slow a game down can bring insane results
In sniper elite 2 it's a literal time stop button allowing you to aim, shoot, then unfreeze
If it's singleplayer, play however the fuck you want. Like I'll never play a GTA without some cheats to fuck shit up. I've tried legit runs, they are definitely possible no doubt, but they aren't that fun compared to the cheat runs. YEah some people cry if you use cheats in a singleplayer game, but that's their own problem. Let people play how they wanna as long as it's not multiplayer.
that's because they're dumb tbh
Why would you be a piece of shit? If it's a single player game then it's your choice. If that choice ruins the game for you, then it's your problem and nobody else's. If it's multiplayer then yeah, that's shitty of you.
To answer your question though it depends entirely on the game for me. There's plenty of games where I never cheat but there's also plenty where I do to bypass something tedious like grinding for cash or levels. (I usually do this on games where I'm far more interested in the story than the gameplay.)
GTA V is great with cheats. I'm actually surprised they included a few oldschool built in ones (like spawning cars)
Nothing wrong with playing with cheats if it's single player and doesn't mess with anyone else. Its your game, play how you want.
I play the game as it's intended by the developer. Although, in light of this, I like to watch speedunners also completely break the game (without cheating, of course). For them to play the game in a way the developers didn't intend, while not using external or developer-only means satisfies me. As someone who is getting into game development myself, this allows me to understand my own game better. This also means if you have people speedrunning your game, that they are intensely passionate about your game and intent to push it to the limit. That's as far as I like to go in terms of "cheating".
Mass Effect 1 with cheats is not only recommended, it's almost mandatory to fully enjoy the game. Since it's practically impossible to get the coolest armors and guns in the game legitimately (with some being literally locked behind cheats for no reason at all), cheats can let you have the cool gear when you need it instead of randomly stumbling upon half-decent armors thanks to pure RNG bullshit.
Playing Dishonored 1 with cheats is fucking awesome. Infinite time stop lets you make insane projectile storms and it's satisfying as hell to watch everything transpire afterward
I thoroughly believe cheating in certain games can make them much more enjoyable, but it's important to understand how the developer wanted it to be played first
I used cheats on my 2nd playthrough of fallout 4. It was definitely more enjoyable since I was able to explore the world without worrying about other shit.
glad to see there's a lot of guys here who feel the same way i do. On the steam forums if you talk about cheating the cucks will attack you. As long as it's singleplayer, it's none of their business how i play.
Just a worthwhile tip by the way
100% if you want to cheat look up cheat tables, you can just type "GAME cheat table" and then get either nothing or insane tables that let you teleport, have infinite placed C4, change all your stats and skills, basically do literally everything. in RPG games this is usually literally a key to making it a sandbox game.
Many times I'll just scan numbers, but I also find some wild cheat tables.
Also, no matter what, never download trainers, even if your AV says "yeah this is clean". It's a very easy way to fuck your computer up. If Cheat engine can't do it, nothing can.
mrantifun trainers are good
If I've completed a game and just want to dick around, cheating at that point is fine for me really, because I've experienced a lot, if not everything, as it was intended, cheating detracts from that experience in my eyes, often skewing what should and shouldn't be correct, of course when it comes to playing games it's down to the player in how they experience it, but I like to experience a game, at least for the first time, as it was intended.
imho cheating in games that don't have a story like the civ series or age of empires etc is fine if you do it in singleplayer modes. For games that do have a story or campaign then beat the game then cheat. Just don't cheat in multiplayer games.
Yeah, I'll always recommend beating the game normally first. After that, cheats can easily extend how many hours you play certain game.
Especially when you have a console with many interesting commands and cheats to try, like HL2. I cannot count many hours more I played HL2 (or any Source game) when I discovered 'npc_create' etc
I use cheats in single player games. It's fun from time to time. I'd never use them in games with online functions though, such as multiplayer or leaderboards.
