Have you tried checking for windows updates? Sometimes fiddling around with the windows virtual memory will give you a temporary fix. And then there is the tried and true turning your computer off and on again (reset usually doesn't work). These don't always work. But sometimes they get the job done.

Read from location 00000020 caused an access violation.
I'm getting same error but it seems that ours are all a bit different, in terms of the "Read from location." I bolded what I am talking about.
I for one have tried every single variation of a google search and the steps given in the various trouble shooting threads I have found. NOTHING has worked.
Also to be noted, if a dev ever looks at this,
When I run the program through the local file on my computer, I get a black screen with the home screen music playing. It never prompts me to change graphic settings and the EASY anti cheat splash screen never does it's loading thing.
I started troubleshooting 3 and a half hours ago and have tried, changing memory outputs, graphics settings, screen resolution, speaker and headsets (which apparently was a big problem in 2015?), run as admin, compatibility mode with all the old OS settings, uninstall reinstall, restart computer, delete certain files, update drivers, update windows, et cetera, et cetera.
Any help would be appreciated! My only gaming day is quickly coming to an end.
