• Devin Nunes pushes for AG Jeff Sessions to be held in contempt

https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2018/may/6/devin-nunes-push-hold-jeff-sessions-contempt/ The GOP's war on the Department of Justice and the rule of law continues, with a campaign to discredit, undermine, and ultimately fire AG Sessions and/or DAG Rosenstein. Your daily reminder that BOTH are Trump appointees, and that AG Sessions' "failure" to Trump was recusing himself from any matters pertaining to the investigation because he is a subject of it (and possibly even a target). This is a fitting followup to DAG Rosenstein's speech praising the separation of powers, the sovereignty of the constitution, and the integrity and equality of the rule of law, which was (in essence) a direct message to congress that the Department of Justice had the full and established right to refuse to comply with this order given that it would directly compromise their investigation (a fact evidence by their last effort to placate Nunes by giving him limited access to investigative materials, which he then immediately turned around and reported to Trump, and used to author his bullshit 'FISA Warrant Abuse' memo).
I don't know what's more cancerous, Nunes himself, or the comments on that article. Holy shit. There's no shortage of nimble navigators vomiting verbal diarrhea all over the comments of that article!
I hope Mueller can dig up some shit on Nunes and land his ass in prison.
What a smart strategy, threaten one of the few people in the Trump administration who has witnessed or been implicated in practically every one of Trump's crimes since taking office. Totally unlikely to backfire. Nunes, you are one cunning fish.
Don't fucking read the comments. If they are any indication of america's stance on this, things are very double plus un good.
https://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2018/05/04/mueller_probe_could_boost_gop_midterm_candidates_136977.html It's not proceeding as desired depending on how you feel
Because of fucking course he did.
[Giuliani] said he might be able to end the Mueller Investigation in two weeks. Looks more like a month, but he didn't know all the details when he said two weeks. Lol
The big question in my mind is; how irredeemably and hopelessly stupid does a person have to be before Trump and fucking Giuliani actually start to look smart?
Tribalism is a hell of a drug. As long as you do everything Trump wants you to you are the God Emperors chosen instrument but as soon as it even looks like you are diverting from the cause then you are a deep state swamp creature who should be fired/jailed/thrown out of a helicopter. These people deserve Trump and the Republicans.
The only reason I can imagine Nunes is this desperate now is because he knows that he'll be criminally charged if he allows the investigation to proceed.
