It's almost impossible to online raid if you're a solo/duo most people you raid either just hide loot around their base or just block their loot rooms with walls happened to me many times before. Some modded servers have raid block which doesn't allow them to place walls, place chests etc which stops from people hiding loot or repairing it mid raid. I think it would be a good idea to have some type of raid block as a default thing in rust. O)_(O hi.
Build a better base, and people are supposed to hide their loot and make secure loot rooms , you want them to take the doors off so its easier for you, Game already has delay on repair when being raided, you should look for a totally noob server which is pve
Its part of the game. Its the nature of a pvp/raid game. Get used to it and plan accordingly.
How bout we keep the rules the same and you just borrow some of my sore vagina ointment?
I have been summoned!
I think OP has a point. And its not about the below: Because adapting to poor online raiding experience is just that - switch to offline raiding only. And that is what the OP is complaining about. And I kind of feel him. I stopped online rading long time ago. Whether solo or mostly duo (or sometimes 5 man if I got the whole crew on) - we only offline... or well in 99.9% of situations unless its like a 1x1 or a 1x2. Any real base - and we'll wait to offline it. I am a little ashamed to admit it, but we do that because we "are planning accordingly" and picking the easiest way out. Especially all the building exploits (the roof bunker, that is somewhat fixed now) was the worst. You start online raiding a stone base with like 20 satchels, and all of a sudden they upgrade the bunker part to HQM and seal off the roof. Its now 46 satchels to get in, plus 10 just to get inside the base. (they could upgrade that to metal as well) Online raiding is pretty much a waste of time, unless its a really small base, or you know that someone is a noob who won't surprise you (and let's be honest - how often do you know that "for sure"?). Making it easier to online (and in turn - even making it harder to offline) would be a step in the right direction. I think "offline raid balance" is still an item on the roadmap, so I hope it all changes a bit...
lul Like i already stated What about offline or online raiding doesnt have to do with it?
I was solo for awhile and honestly it is impossible to solo raid, I didn't conduct a SINGLE raid solo because I'm too fucking busy trying to farm stupid ass scrap for blueprints, wasting hours and hours of time jerkin off instead of getting a chance to do anything. Duo is probably do-able but don't expect to hit huge bases. Stick to the small ones and the ones you know people with guns live in. Semi-auto rifle with silencer and explosive ammo is the way to go. Always setup a small raid base with boxes. I'm in a trio right now and we own an entire island and have every blueprint unlocked on 1 guy. We play together every wipe. Its so much easier and I can play less hours because I don't have to do everything alone or farm endless amounts of scrap and get yelled at by my gf that I'm spending so much fucking time on rust cause the game is retarded for solo players. Legacy was the solo days, I had 20 story homes, tons of C4 and grenades out the ass, guns upon GUNS, most people were too lazy to farm back then and built small easily raidable homes, and taking airdrops solo. The game was fast and to the point back then, the gunplay was way better too, anyone who argues that is a noob and never played legacy or didn't put enough hours into it. But oh well it is what it is and we have to play the garbage they throw at us cause we love.
I was agreeing untill you went off on a rant about Legacy But yes, solo is pretty much impossible, unless you downgrade your goals to like t2 bench and a semi as the "endgame" and your raid targets are the little 1x2 or 2x2 non-honeycombed in the noob spawn areas... Duo/trio with silencers and explosive ammo is how I've been doing it for the last 5 months and we've raided over 200+ bases in that span of time...
