Will the pigs be healthy though, is the bigger question.
am in awe at the size of this lad
As long as they're healthy enough to grow to full size and breed, I doubt the meat industry will care one way or the other.
god damnit
Probably not, fucking with genetics usually doesn't make for a long lived animal
The title made me picture them being able to do this dynamically while the pig is alive
like a unity slider
Here comes the 200 meter gigapig kaiju.
Remember this?

Imagine them supersized
God that's so compressed it looks like it's from a fucking Phantasmagoria game. Or Harvester. shudder.
The scary thing is: Those sized hogs are really fucking common in the backwoods of some areas. They are considered myth, but they have a nasty habit of scaring campers and deer hunters by attacking them.

In the opposite direction I want a tiny domesticated pig that I can chill with that won't potentially die of some horrendous genetic defect.
Tiny pigs the size of a hamster
just look at that absolute unit
Just get me a dog-sized pig that stays lean for most of its life. They'd probably make better service animals than dogs, considering their excellent noses, brains, and sturdiness.
As we see with people and cows with the same issue, you can be swoll as hell, but you'll die a lot earlier.

?
Looks like he's quite a bit further back in the shot than the pig is.
Oh yeah, and one more benefit I forgot to mention: potbelly pigs live for around twenty years, which is substantially longer than even the luckiest pooches. You can grow up with a pig and be
done with college before it finally croaks, and gene-modding them to not be fatasses will let them live even longer.
