We are hosting 4 TTT servers and one darkrp atm. TTT got really less visited in last weeks. And roleplay did right the opposite. However having about 35 from 50 players on the roleplay server it starts lagging and it gets quite annoying for nearly all players. TTT and roleplay are being hosted on 2 seperate dedicated servers. TTT 4x3.4 Ghz and RP 4x 4.0 to 4.4 Ghz (i7 4790k). I thought about moving all 5 servers to one overkill server, which will be hosted at OVH and has 4x 4.7 to 5.0 Ghz (i7 7700k overclocked). Price will be about the same (At the moment I pay TTT 60€ and RP 80€, new server will be 1x 136€). Also 64GB RAM and 250MBit/s DDoS protection and all that shit.
Soo what do u think? Will it make a big difference? Am I doing the right step? Cheesecake?
Oh and yes, forgot to mention: All TTT servers are 66 tick and Roleplay 33 tick.
There will be a small improvement if you switch to OVH and configure your servers properly.
You'll have to optimise your servers properly however, there are no magically "no lag"-servers.

I did the mistake to work for free..worked ss developer for a DarkRp and TTT sevrer (both hotest by the same person). I was a Owner tho, like the other dudes. we was 3 owners. For months i created jobs, fixed bugs, created a custom hud, got player on the server, made everything running etc. But then they just banned and blocked me everywhere, told me they dont want me anymore for no reason, so im out. they keepd my work and everything. Good ending tho: The DsrkRP and TTT server is purely empty since im kicked out, never saw a player there again. and the osner payd aaaaalot of money in gmodstore for addons..planned to get the money back with darkRP. but without me nothing works and no players join.

no for real. I managed to get a talk with them after a few days, which was a one and ha half talk in teamspeak, they unbanned me there to explain to me.
The only reason they had was because i was not really friendly. Because my personality itself is kinda ngeative. But still, i dont think thats enough reaosn to bock someone who works for the server for months for free...the main owner told me he didnt even ever wanted me as owner, more like co- owner or developer, but no one else didnt wanted it to he said ok he stays owner.
The 2 owners didnt even asked the other mods and stuff that we had, because they liked me. If they would have made a vote i would have stayd in.
So yea, the talk was mainly "youre mean, were gonna keep your work, fuck you"
So yeah, "no reason" suddenly turned into a pretty good reason. I wouldn't want to give someone access
to something when they are incapable of treating me properly, obviously.
Also, why wouldn't they keep your work? So suddenly just because they kicked you they have to remove
all your shit? You decided to make it for THEM, it's really up to you to decide who you trust.
problem is you dont know context...the "mean" that they had as reason was just my personality. Kicking a OWNER who worked for MONTHS o nthe server, because hes mean would be when the owner would insult really hard, and fuck everything up. But i didnt do that.
I fixed all problems, pretty much instantly. I was friendly to players and mods, and made jokes. which the other owners laughed at. You literally cannot tell how it was just because my one message. And im not gonna tell the whole time from when i joined until i got kicked. Im gonna say theyre reason was pure crap.
also, they didnt trusted me either apprently. But still let me use the server console and files. So..the fuck
