Seems like the pre E3 "leaking" season has started once again (just like last time...)

TLDR Version
Factions: There are seven factions including Great Britain, the United States, Free French, Third Reich, Kingdom Of Italy, USSR and Imperial Japan.
Maps: The retail game will launch with 10 maps with one free map arriving shortly thereafter.
DLC: Will work through a Premium Pass like always. Subject of DLC has not been decided.
Combat: Skill plays a bigger role with the removal of random bullet deviation found in Battlefield 1.
Attachments: They return for Battlefield V. Options include suppressors, sights, scopes and more.
Four Classes: Assault (a medic with AR weapons), Support (LMGs, ammo access), Recon (Bolt actions for long range) and Engineer (SMGs, anti-tank weapons).
All-Kit Weapons: Some weapons will work for all classes like the M1 Garand.
Elite Classes & Behemoths Return
Customization:Cosmetic skins make their debut. They offer different combinations of headwear, footwear and camo. Skins will be sold as a cosmetic microtransaction.
Vehicles: Vehicles will function similar to Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4. They require skillful operation and include tanks, Jeeps, planes and more. Like soldiers, vehicles can also be customized with cosmetics.
Modes: Operations return and Incursions will be available at launch
Release Details: The game will be revealed in May with a beta in August and release in October.
Statements made in the video also align with a recent report from Kotaku that suggests EA was afraid to include non-cosmetic loot boxes in the upcoming game.
Once bitten, twice shy huh?
BF1 didn't really do anything microtransactions wise. You could get base shitty lootboxes for skins, but they were entirely cosmetic and were were passed out like candy constantly through events.
Was alluding more to Battlefront than Battlefield there. Either way, it seems like EA is now cautious about adding any kind of loot box, which is a promising sign.
Good, I hope they never fucking try that shit again.
I can't help but wonder if these leaks are on purpose. It sure gets people talking about it, because something being a 'leak' makes it more glamorous and incites curiosity
They will
Wait didn't they just restart the numbers? Shouldn't BF2 be next? I am confuse
Oh yeah I remember World War V
If true it's trending back to the style of BF4, which is good. Free French as a faction could also be fun with some Resistance-style maps
Most likely. So far everything goes exactly the same as they did with BF1
BF2 already exists though, there's still only one Battlefield 1.
They didn't restart anything. There was never a Battlefield 1 before BF1.
There have been rumors of them including a PUBG style battle royale mode.
Would love to see how that turns out with a studio behind it with years of experience and a solid shooter as a basis.
They did a George Lucas, starting at part 1942. Next year they will release part 1024
It seems that they're focusing on automatic weapons the same way they did in B1, which is a bit disappointing. I was hoping for just a tad more historical based warfare.
At least smgs were a lot more common in 2 than 1. If bolt actions are a general class weapon id be happy enough.
Well that sucks, they have to add a premium pass because they can't put microtransactions I'd imagine
now that'd be interesting, swords with lasersights
Pretty concerned about the supposed change in gunplay mechanics compared to BF1.
Really liked how BF1 actually differentiated classes and their intended combat roles via the weapon mechanics unlike BF4 where every automatic weapon is more or less the same weapon and how that once you've learned the not-so-difficult art of microbursting, you can just pick up any weapon and destroy shit at any range with ease.
Stocked for Pacific Theater being included though. That front is criminally underrated especially when the potential for fun as shit full on naval, ground and air combined arms warfare is perfect in it.
Please postpone release to 2019 DICE. I'd rather play RDR online with my friends...
It seriously needs to be there at launch. That map is what peak Battlefield looks like!
Bleh, class balance should be the same as BF1 but it seems like the medic class is gonna once again get the best guns. How boring. Splitting the engineer class between Assault and Support and making medic it's own class is the best idea they've had in BF1.
Guys that "leak" is a huge fake dating back to months ago, BF2018 will be live-service as said during EA's earning calls from Tuesday.
May 23rd teaser reveal?

The first trailer I ever saw of the game, good fucking times. Would love to see this in V.
