FP, before the recent audio update snap traps audio file was perfect.
After the audio update snap traps sound (activate or take damage) is so low you cannot hear it, even if you are the one to step on or damage the trap.
This makes snap traps nearly useless because you cannot know when to reset them or when they are being attacked by a hostile player.
Please revert snap trap volume to what it was before. Thank you.
Interesting idea, but do you think if a snap trap hits your leg in real life, it cuts clean through the bone? No, it embeds itself in your leg. (less noise) so if you have a problem, turn up your volume.
the snap trap volume is almost nil at max volume while the other game sounds are painfully loud in comparison (stand next to a lit furnace, vending machine, or gun shot for example).
your argument works irl but this isn't irl this is a game.
For balance reasons snaps need to be useful. the sound file issue reduces their usefulness significantly.
the snp trap volume you could hear for miles it gave away anyone trying to sneak now its posable to sneak by without hearing *SNAP!!!!!* then everyone within a 3 block radius knowing you are at 14 health
I will not argue against that! But unfortunately turning their volume from 100% to 1% (made up numbers for exaggeration...) has rendered them almost totally useless
