• Computer occasionally freezes and also stutters when running games

Randomly throughout the day regardless of if I'm running a bunch of programs or literally just have chrome open watching youtube my computer will completely freeze up and I have to restart to get it working again, I've gotten through multiple days without it happening at all and it just seems to happen at random. Around the same time this started to happen when I try to run games and other programs my computer will stutter heavily until the program actually starts loading/running, my cursor will jump around the screen lagging behind my mouse and all audio is stuttering to the point that I can't understand it. This only lasts until the program or loading screen is running, for example when I click on an exe for a game my computer will start stuttering but then stop as soon as the game actually appears on the screen, or when playing league of legends and after choosing champions and the game countdown ends my computer will start stuttering but then the moment the load screen appears I'm fine. I don't know why this is happening and would appreciate if anyone can help me find the reason.
It almost sounds like a harddrive thing, where the system is waiting for something to be read but the HDD is taking wayyy too long or fails to get the data. This is mostly a guess though. Try to find some HDD diagnostics software in any case, worth a try.
Does it start happening after idling on the computer for some time? Did you torrent or pirate anything recently, or visit any untrusted websites? You might have a malicious bitcoin miner malware on your system. It can come in various forms and the symptoms usually appear when it think you're not using your computer. It will start using up processor power (anything not being used by other programs) and often conflicts with Chrome (ie. if you're watching a video and you move your mouse after, it can freeze chrome for a good while). Open up task manager and wait for the next time this issue crops up. If you see a process called "idlemonitor.exe", then you got bitcoin miner malware. And if that's the case, check out this reddit post, it has some tips on how to remove this. I had found I had idlemonitor on my system and once I downloaded Rogue-Killer (a free, non-intrusive deep scan anti-virus) and scanned by computer and got rid of it, never had the problem again.
my recommendation goes to CrystalDiskInfo
I got 3 HDD diagnostic software and all of them said that my HDD was okay with the only issue being with the "Reallocated Sectors Count" so hopefully that means that I don't have to replace it since I can't really afford that right now. I downloaded Rogue-Killer and it did find a bunch of malware that I thought I had removed a while ago and got rid of it all. My computer hasn't frozen or stuttered yet since I did that so hopefully its fixed.
So eh how many times did it need to Reallocate bad sectors? a good drive should be at zero, also did it pass a smart test? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/S.M.A.R.T.
Yeah I made a mistake, I don't know where I got the okay from before because I opened up CrystalDiskInfo and there it is saying Caution. So uh, just completely ignore my previous post about things being better. https://i.imgur.com/49l15w9.png Well I think I'm gonna need to order a new HDD, I can only imagine that the freezes and stuttering is only going to get worse. Thanks for helping me find the issue.
