i mean its definitely a significant number of gibs but i cant help but feel like something about the art style and gib velocity/floatiness make it difficult to appreciate and give the actual gib models less weight, little "oomph" and very little screen time, especially considering how fast paced quake traditionally is
i'd appreciate it for existing in the background, but drawing attention to it means its going to be more heavily scrutinized
Looks like some really interesting tech - not so much within the gameplay tho.
Something I'd rather see in the next Doom tbh.
Quake 3 made me realize that gore looks really cool but kinda sucks in that it can block your vision or, at the very least, distract you. I agree that it's really interesting tech, but in all honesty I can't see myself keeping this on (if turning it off is even going to be an option).
Honestly this is probably prototyping of it for the next Doom.
Interesting, kind of reminds me of the gore system in Serious Sam 3, although much more flexible.
