The AMC TC is a mod for Duke Nukem 3D that puts you in control of the AMC squad, a paramilitary group tasked with fighting Earth's greatest threats (sort of like the Avengers. only with a Retro FPS setting instead of superheros)
The map selection is incredibly varied, ranging from basic downtown city maps, chinese harbors, egyptian pyramids all the way to abandoned space stations and otherwordly galaxies. The levels are designed by some of the most talented mappers of the Duke Nukem 3D community, and it packs a metric ton of new features, including massively enhanced interactivity in the spirit of Duke 3D. It's also got a pretty cheesy story to drive the action, though it's completely optional.
It's a mod I personally really enjoy. The first two episodes have already been released, so if you want to check them out you can go ahead.
Though I have to mention, the third episode will come with major bugfixes and improvements across the board, so it might be a good idea to wait until the release of episode 3 later this year.
Loved the first two episodes, didn't know they were still working on it. Trailer's looking really promising, looking forward to playing this on release.
JBlade, the project leader, is planning 5 episodes total, and he seems to be pretty committed to completing them all eventually.
In fact, the mod's already been in development for over 10 years, with each episode coming out in a timespan of about 3-4 years. Quite the feat of endurance.
There may also eventually be a multiplayer component, depending on whether eduke32 gets a properly functioning multiplayer sometime in the future. Perhaps after the release of Ion Maiden.
