Interesting military response, considering the attack that Israel is blaming Iran for came from Syria. How convenient that, as soon as Trump pulls out of the Iran deal, Iran just magically attacks Israel outright, justifying a full on war response by Israel? Makes you think! I hope.
It's plausible. Without the nuclear deal, they could be hit again with a ton of sanctions with zero diplomatic opportunity to lift them. What exactly do they have to lose in pursuing their #1 foreign policy goal - the destruction of Israel?
Their cities being vapourised by nuclear weapons.
Considering Israel already has nuclear weapons, already has the Iron Dome, already has an enormously funded military, already has the backing of America and allies, and is exceptionally more technologically advanced than Iran, I'm more than willing to wager that Iran has no actual intentions of attacking Israel, for reasons of self-preservation. Iran doesn't stand a chance against Israel. Does it really make sense to you that Iran instantly attacked Israel as soon as it was convenient for Israel? Come on.
I take it you haven't been following Qasem Soleimani's will to avenge Israel's actions in T-4 last month, have you. A false flag attack is unnecessary especially considering the only person who has to gain from a war would arguably be Bibi, not actual military command or intelligence forces, let alone the citizens. Iran's aversion to war is mainly because it's a huge gamble in terms of long term stability for their regime considering their population is actually against it, as are the Russians; Israel, as a political entity has not been itching for a war with Iran at all, and every bombing of Iranian targets has to do with making sure they have as little friction with them and threat as possible by removing tactical positions near the border. The attack by Iran was very clearly meant to be as small as was necessary to not lead to a war, and the Israeli action a means of delivering a new policy regarding allowing Iran to base itself in Syria. This idea is either borne of ignorance or delusion.
FREE martyrdom!?
I dont think you understand how idiotic the Iranian government can be at times. Thanks to ridiculous corruption, a lot of the people who run the country have no idea what they are doing, and since religion is tied to government, its common for those officials to be "conservative" nearly to the point extremism. I'll repeat, the average Iranian, especially the large youth population, do not want war. They just want a better economy with actual opportunities for them. But with the sudden escalation in tension, that may no longer happen. Now, innocent civilians who want nothing to do with this will probably die.
well there's the other problem of iran and israel not actually being able to physically attack each other outside of ballistic weapons and airpower. Iran has a lot of troops in syria but nowhere near the logistics or land boarders to fight a war against israel. Iraq would be shut to them by the US, and they lack the ocean going navy or freedom of movement to transport troops from the persian gulf to the med without getting destroyed
