Nice to see it get renewed, hopefully we don't get another Szechuan episode.
Not the episode itself.
Just the aftermath...
I doubt the writers have much control of that

I just hope the writing in general is more along the lines of the first series, I honestly cant remember anything other than the first and a bit of the second.
1 of them better make Bushworld Adventures canon.
70 of them should be bushworld adventures
I though it said 70 more seasons, as some kind of spoof commentary on sequels today
Hopefully the show doesn't focus on dumb family drama like last season.
70 episodes is quite a lot, I wonder if they'll do longer seasons or if this is basically confirmation of seasons 4 to 10.
Yeah, 100% true but it'd be nice to see if the fans have any modicum of civility after the way they demolished the (already awful) community after last season.
how are they supposed to control how their fans react
I love Rick and Morty, watch it with my fiance a lot. The jokes are great at times and the story is getting interesting, we were honestly gutted when we heard there was going to be no more Rick and Morty episodes created so this is good news!
It's such a high amount so they reach 100 episodes, AKA the golden syndication number.
Where did you hear that?
Nobody ever said that did they? Except the whole 'ERMAHGAWD THEY DIDENT RENEW IT INSTANTLY SO IT ISNT HAPPENING'
Don't quote me on this but I am pretty sure I read it on here, facepunch somewhere. I believe it was on Sensationalist Headlines, something to do with a divorce?
I never really got that show much, to be honest.
All 70 of those better be interdimensional cable
Dan Harmon Confirms "Rick and Morty" Has Not Been Renewed for Se..
Found it here
Tis is why it took so long, they had to write out that big contract and huge check.
It's a show you'd have to watch almost every episode of to fully get the grasp of it to be honest. That's how I felt when I tried watching it on TV, then when I got the Adult Swim app on my Roku TV which allows you to watch marathons of Adult Swim exclusive shows like Rick and Morty, Aqua Teen, Mr. Pickles, etc, it made me like the show more because I wasn't having to wait for it to be on again in a week and I could actually appreciate the humor from episode to episode.
One issue is that there's a few overarching plotlines between Evil Morty and Phoenix Person, yet they next to never progress those plots. Out if the entire series, like 5 episodes need prior knowledge of what's happening in the series to understand them, and that sucks because they're generally the best episodes the show has to offer, like the one that introduced the Szechuan gag and The Ricklantis mixup.
I love Interdimensional Cable but I hope they never do it again
I really doubt they will, that gag is over. I agree though it was great to watch, I am unsure which is my fav episode though. Either the one where Rick destroys the house, makes Adolf Linkler and co. go out to get these "important" crystals which turn out to be a short lasting "cocaine" of sorts or the one 'Inception' episode with Rick on the plane shouting Allah Ackbar and meet the semi legal knockoff of an 80's horror program AKA Freddy Krueger
Interdimensional Cable 1 was lightning in a bottle. The second had a few good skits but the rest of the skits didn't have the same "chuckle till your sides hurt" feel and the b plot went from charming to ugh. I do hope they continue a seasonal tradition of having an episode filled with cutaway skits because the Morty's Mind Blowers was great but Cable ran it's course out real quick.
pure direct child abuse, the cartoon
With this many episodes confirmed, I hope they'll be able to plan out the story arc more thoroughly.
Was kind of disappointing to see the last episode of season 3 go pretty much nowhere.
my biggest problem with season 3, besides the lack of focus, was the flanderization of the characters, specifically Rick and Jerry.
In season 1, specifically the simulator episode, Jerry's an incompetent husband and father but he's legitimately trying. His ad campaign was terrible, but it was the best he could do and he was willing to give it up if it was too close to "Got Milk?" In Season 3 he's now a sniveling parasite, sacrificing his family for his own well being, while also having every character crank up the insults on him to very uncomfortable levels. He's not fun to watch anymore.
And Rick has gone from a scientist trying to pay his bills with ideas like "Anatomy Park" and half-assing a love potion with apocalyptic results to being able to create anything for any situation on hand, perfectly. (Looking at you, Vindicators.) There's no stakes to Rick anymore. Why does his car still use trash cans as rocket boosters if he has sleek, sci-fi gadgets in his lab coat that solve every episode?
I can't remember anything from season 3 honestly. Hope it doesn't keep going downhill.
To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ...
