The filter actually makes it a bit difficult to tell what is going on in the pose, especially with the axe handle blending in with the background.
Convincing rain should be paired with a depth pass in some regard, so different layers of droplets get entirely occluded
I thought the filter was really bad up until I looked at the head of the guy on the left, and I'm getting a far more abstract feel out of this than I probably should. It's interesting, but it needs more development.
