Compiling most recent version of BSPsrc from the github source?

Let me preface this by saying that I have no programing knowledge what so ever, so I'm not even sure what I'd need to even begin here.

What I would like to do, is to compile/build/whatever, the latest version of BSPsrc from the github repository, because the latest release build is two years old, and I'd like to stay as up to date as possible.

BSPsrc is working perfectly fine, why would you need to update it?
