It's amazing how great Sega's hardware was at one point. Too bad they shit the point the moment that they thought that having both the 32x and Sega CD required to play some games was a good idea.
Should be mentioned that the nomad retailed for $250 ($410 adjusted for inflation) and that was at a time when people didn't usually carry hundreds of dollars worth of electronics on their person. It was a different market, sadly. Still, a dock with a beefy connector for the Nomad that hooked it to controller ports, the TV and a DC supply (and maybe even charged the rechargeable pack) would've made it much more of a "genesis replacement" in hindsight.
