Does anyone else miss the old graphics from about a year ago? They felt more suitable for the game and more smooth. I feel like the graphics now feel a bit clumpy and weird.
I think it looks 10x better. Minus the red shadows when it becomes night or morning. Other than that they did an amazing job.
I hate Rust graphics that was back in 2017. Everything was extremely cartoonish, trees were laggy and ugly, lots of textures had problems with color balance... Now it looks like from 2016, but waay better. New beautiful, realistic and optimized trees, good grass colors and way more details.
Visuals are incredible now, you can't deny that.
I absolutely loved the way Rust looked back in 2016. The landscape was awesome and every map was really unique. I can remember every map I played on because there was none other like it. I get that feeling again now that they've changed the map generation back to how it was before. I still think the landscape was better back in 2016, but it looks 10x better now.
Nah man the cartoonish kind of rust feel wasn't all cartoonish but it was suitable to the game.
Yes, current map generation is very good, but i'll always miss these epic mountains...
I also miss those mountains , but I miss the icebergs that didnt have ice floes around them and a ramp (or two) up the sides, the old ones were a challenge to climb using up to 10 ladders and trying to get up to the top and make a fire before you froze to death , and a challenge to raid, had to get there and find a weak spot not protected by a cupboard or a turret Now its a short boat ride and a walk up the ramp !
Interesting subject. Can you post some pictures, if you happen to have saved them? Memory tends to play pranks...

See how the mountains here are kind of a different color? I liked the coloration around early 2017 and late 2016. I like the graphics on here and there wasn't a bunch of grass like there was before. The graphics before suited the game and made it more enjoyable..
