Hey I just keep searching a seed with a river all through the map. I keep generating on playrust.io, but there are no nice rivers
Maybe somebody here knows a good seed with a nice river throug the map?
hope you have luck with it, the one i am on only has 3 small rivers on one quarter area, only thing to do is keep looking through the maps
I too, would like some rivers extending around the map, the idea the boats are only good for the circumference of the island is lame
yes the boats are mostly useless now on big maps ^^
Maybe some rivers leading towards the center of the map all converging into one big swamp in the middle with multiple exits & entrances depending on how may rivers are connected *day dreams*

I would love that as well, but imagine a really long river, you make a boathouse on it somewhere in the centre of the map, and then 100 metres further, someone blocks it with his base... bam, you're screwed
yeah this is why i hope they just give rives a whole makeover in general or at least take another pass at them
Hmm maybe forbid building near the river?
Pls no River bases are awesome, but maybe making them deeper would help, so you could just build on the river sides, but your first floor couldn't simply touch the river floor, so you could build only on the river shore.
I think rivers need to have a splitting up locations, where 1 river splits into more. That could look really awesome.
i feel like that would just punish little boat houses on the rivers this definitely got me thinking how to get around this tho maybe redo shore lines or something
that would be so cool i bet that could kinda help with the base blocking the whole river if most of them are connected
couldnt disagree more the amount of scrap you get from farming oceans plus you can go anywhere on the coast and set up an outpost base away from main
gotta admit that scraping on the ocean is pretty nice especially now that they added diving i think his issues is more with transportation rather then farming
they are still super usefull you can get anywhere on the coast with them

I don't like the small "rivers" now which just begin somewhere out from a rock and ending 100 meters later ^^
