I don't know too much about Preet Bharara's history or credentials, but he is an extremely vocal opponent of Trump and Co. Anybody with a respect for democracy and the rule of law should be completely opposed to this administration, but I do worry that somebody as publicly critical of Trump as Bharara could give ammo to defense attorneys and/or the public to argue conflicts of interest.
