Ridiculous how you could consider anything an emotional support pet
I don't know why entertaining these people were their default policies. Were they forced to let animals on the plane through public outcry, or did they just not think about it?
How else am I supposed to include my rodent friends on my trips for free?
I mean its common sense if its a cat or dog, but some guy bought a goddamn peacock.
How are you going to control a peacock on a damn plane?
Seems like US is one of the few countries to have emotional support animals to my knowledge.
So now I'll be expected to pay to store my emotional support Burmese python? That's discriminatory.
Really any decently trained animal should work for that purpose.
You could say that they should basically only require a doctor's approval, but even that still sounds like it's too prone to abuse tbh. This is probably just the best option they have.
avoiding an ADA lawsuit probably. the issue of emotional support animals has been pretty low key until extremely rwcently. I think they are doing this now because the laws and regulations have probably been clarified and the lawyers have probably cleared it.
I swear to god - this whole thing feels like an episode of south park.
1) Someone discovers they can do something unusual.
2) They start exploiting it.
3) Others see it and join in.
4) New laws/bans are introduced.
5) The End.
