When will an official server come to Latin America?

We dont have any official servers, we would love to have them because we have many problems with the quality of community servers and high ping servers in other regions.

There used to be official South American servers. I know that's not the same as Latin America, but it would be the next best thing to playing on North American servers, and here's the story of why they're not there anymore.

They were permanently DDOSed by some fuckhead of a private server admin in South America who didn't want competition. He DDOSed all the other private servers in the region as well as the official ones. The South American hosts did not have the technical sophistication to mount a defense against the DDOS attacks, meaning the official SoAm Facepunch servers were permanently unavailable so they just gave up wasting money on being DDOSed.

As for why there aren't regional servers in Latin America, I can't give you an official answer because I don't know it. Latin America is close enough to North America, relatively speaking, that they may not consider it worth it to deploy servers in the neighbouring region -- but I don't know that this is the specific reason, so don't go around saying that this is what the devs are saying, because they're not. There's also the technical considerations, because hosts in Latin America may have the problem South American servers did, no DDOS protection and so on.

It isn't "Facepunch hates insert region or country here ". Running a global collection of servers isn't as easy as turning on your desktop computer and opening iTunes, and adding even more servers in a different country adds even more work for a small dev team.
