Looks solid for the level of hardening they're at, but that floatiness will really really need adressing before they go public.
I'm cautiously pumped for this game, especially after seeing a bit more about how the Freakers work, it's a neat way to mix up the zombie formula like The Last of Us did only a bit more extreme. Clickers/Bloaters aside, the infected in TLOU were pretty much the same old zombies when you got down to it but if Days Gone commits to this ecosystem idea it could be really neat.
@ 47:27 look at the bench near that campfire, then look at how fast the dev playing the game turns away when they realize what's happening
They probably didn't want to make another pre-beta joke. I'll give it to them that they're ambitious, but I get the feeling that this is going to be derided for being a Last of Us clone or it'll end up being mediocre.
The director(i think? dude that said he's the only one writing the game) already made the mistake of saying that he hates the comparisons to Last Of Us, so don't expect those to stop anytime soon
I thought it extra hilarious at 6:10 where the dude goes to reload with a visibly empty magazine and predictably the gun clicks without firing. I don't know if the devs meant it as if he was so stressed out that he didn't reload a full mag, or if the gun jammed and they just didn't make a full magazine model.
What happened to those huge flows of zombies that acted more like an unstoppable torrent than individual enemies ?
You're probably not going to run into those only an hour into the game. They do show one horde but you'll probably only fight them in specific missions.
My brother's childhood friend played the music for this game, apperently.
Also, you know what? Fuck that first choice they show off. What's the point of making a choice if the dude just gets shot no matter what?
