"Pennyworth" Prequel Series about Alfred Pennyworth coming to Epix The series will revolve around Alfred Pennyworth, the best friend and butler to Bruce Wayne (aka Batman). The series is not a Gotham spinoff but rather an entirely story exploring Alfred's origins as a former British SAS soldier who forms a secret company and goes to work with Thomas Wayne — Bruce's billionaire father, in 1960s London. Sean Pertwee, who plays Alfred Pennyworth on Fox's recently renewed Gotham, is not involved. Casting has not yet begun and the series is set in a completely different universe despite hailing from Heller and producers Warner Horizon. (Others who have played the Alfred role include Jeremy Irons Michael Gough, Michael Caine, Alan Napier and William Austin, among others.) Looking forward to Alfred meeting the fathers of all of Batman's villians.
To be fair, even post butler, he's done some amazing shit.
Oh yes, the batdad spinoff I always wanted
This is literally a joke from that Teen Titans Go movie trailer.
I was hoping for SOL comedy spinoff of Alfred doing mundane shit around the house but this is acceptable
Expect Alfred to kill people, he's also not opposed to using guns like Batman is.
is it gonna be like lego batman where batman has crippling psychological issues and alfred has to deal with his issues
I think this will work
I always liked Alfred as a character, so I think this will be very interesting to watch to say the least.
He has been ex-military (of varying branches) for a very long time in his comic history. Definitely as far back as the Silver Age, and maybe since the very beginning.
Somehow remembering that AU batman story where Alfred was secretly the Joker going on a giant act paying others to play pretend so that Bruce can live his fantasy life.
What Ever Happened to the Caped Crusader. Fantastic story if you're looking for something to read
Mr. Batvedere.
I, like seemingly many people judging by the comments on the video below, have always seen this as what Alfred did in the years of Batman's absence in the Nolan movies: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OVOSfHFNlcI
what do you MEAN michael caine isn't playing alfred in this
There's a damn good reason why Bruce Wayne respects his butler, and there's a reason why said butler can get away with his decades worth of snark towards his master. https://i.imgur.com/VcMBJIk.png
Seems like some of y'all need a reminder. https://i.imgur.com/lqL8blg_d.jpg https://i.imgur.com/vGjc8sd_d.jpg https://i.imgur.com/vYemSpr_d.jpg https://i.imgur.com/uPVIexu_d.jpg https://i.imgur.com/uDs1qF1_d.jpg
Sean Pertwee's one of my favorite actors and I'm sad he probably won't be the studio's choice
I suppose 'Butlerman' lacks the same ring to it but the premise... https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=vWUn6tzOAwU "Alfred faces his greatest challenge yet as his young ward crosses the threshold of puberty... wet dreams. When the washing machine can't get the stains out, the Wayne family's faithful servant must endure the terror of scrubbing out the dreaded grime by hand."
Alfred has a ton of potential, so this could be really interesting. He's ex-MI6 if I recall correctly, and is very capable in terms of fighting and intellect and so on. He's basically a non-vigilante Batman, without the tragic backstory and super-villains.
Pennyworth season 2: The tangerine thief strikes again
I am down for this so much. My avatar reflects my feelings.
