Watched both movies on my 4k OLED HDR tv recently. Shit's an amazing experience. Can't wait for the third
god iI love the fucked up world JW and JW2 created where everybody is completely aware of and totally fine with there being this massive assasination society. I want to know what schools are like and how they properly inform people about who's an assassin or not
Don't forget that apparently the Payday series takes place within this world, too, and although the movie producers might not consider it canon, everything that happens in JW movies happens in Payday.
Yeah.
i mean if fuckin everyone is an assassin then the police force being how it is in payday makes complete sense
There's graffiti in JW2 of Dallas's mask, and Lionsgate seem pretty tight with Starbreeze/Overkil, they even got Charon's actor to play him in PD2.
Is this an ad
If I told you it was an LG™
I didnt like JW2 that much. By the end of it I was wishing it was about 20 minutes shorter. Fight scenes became more obviously choreographed and dance like, and when JW goes through about 20 guys with obvious stormtrooper aim it starts to look a bit silly.. The catacombs fight was brilliant, the museum fight was where I started to roll my eyes.
double inception though, with the presence of Laurence the fishborn, as basically a crazier, homlier Morphius, this could also be another incarnation of the matrix, double points if he gets hugo weaving in jw3
I don't remember this happening in John Wick one. Did they like up the whole assasin thing in the sequel to be a big thing worldwide? Kind of a shame cause I liked how small scale and kinda grounded the first movie was compared to other modern action movies, the world being filled by massive super assassins kinda ruins that for me.
Crazy how a fortnite skin has turned into a franchise
they did up the scale but then it was all hinted at in jw1, everybody knew him, nobody cared he was what he was, oh except for that stupid russian kid, he apparently did not get the memo
Does this mean Payday 2 takes place in the Fortnite universe?
They don't show the whole world knowing about this. The poster you're quoting is wrong. The world at large doesn't know about the Continental.
This is all underground and very secret.
But it's not shown to us that way as we're shown an insiders perspective from the start.
Yes, same here.
The organisation in the first film while still ridiculous for many obvious reasons wasn't hard to suspend disbelief over.
The way its portrayed in the second film with the ridiculous worldwide accounts office using 1940s equipment and underground societies of assassins living like bums and so on, just eye rolling stuff IMO. I get that its going for a comic book style thing, but sometimes less is more. A great problem with sequels is "world building" when you really don't need to, sometimes less really is more.

Payday's Community guy met up with Keanu yesterday so maybe we're in store for another crossover event for Payday
I can't wait to pay for more payday dlc
