The Division 2 will release within the next year, Ubisoft has confirmed.
The sequel to online multiplayer shooter The Division was announced in March without a release window, but in a financial report released today Ubisoft said it would be out in the 2018-19 fiscal year, which ends next April. Less than 12 months to wait, then.
In the same time period, Ubisoft will also release The Crew 2 and an "unannounced franchise title", which is intriguing. I suspect we'll find out more at E3 next month.
In total, the publisher expects to sell 19 million units of those three games within the next year.
Ubisoft has promised to spill the beans at E3.

I didn't expect it to get announced that soon. I highly doubt this isn't gonna get delayed tho, since that seems to be the pattern with Ubi games lately
I hope it goes to an asian city, you rarely see those represented + you could get deeper into weather systems
Can't wait.
I'm just hoping they don't pull a Bungie.
If the game releases in 6 months, then that means you only have to wait a year for the gsme to be playable. Thats good to hear.
I hope so as well, but Massive seems to give far more fucks about their product than Bungie does.
I skipped over the first one because of the E3 downgrade (reminded me too much of dark souls 2) but the whole core game concept was right up my alley. I wonder if Ubisoft will manage to weazel 60 bucks out of me this time.
Yeah I was turned off by that myself. I ended up getting it on sale like 1-2 year later and the game seems pretty solid and was fun for the most part. Hopefully they learned this time around.
it's launching the same time as Anthem
I'm all for it if it retains the features in the now fully feature complete first one. If it's going to be Division 2: Boring Bland Foundation to be improved upon through years of patches and expansions, what a fuckin' cash grab waste
Honestly in my opinion PVP wise the game was way better/fun in the Beta, afterwards when i played it you could flank Enemies if you wanted but they will end up taking 5-6 mags to even
down it was quite bizzare but no clue if that changed
latest patches made it fun
if you guys preorder this you're making yourself expendable instead of letting others make the mistake for you.
They're nowhere near as spongy anymore, they resolved that quite a while back and even improved the late game.
Ubi has kinda got the hint as of the last year or so, reviving The Division and fixing its flaws and then there is also Seige which they neglected for a while then decided to give it the CSGO treatment and essentially rebuild it into something actually worth playing.
Hopefully this trend sticks, they ain't making much off the AC series so they can't milk it anymore and they've clearly pushed focus into other places. I'll hold my end view on this till its actually been released though, but so far Ubisoft's had a good track record, be a shame for them to damage it.
I'm personally hyped.
Tacticool wankery MMORPG is something I never knew I wanted so bad until I played the Division and I hope they'll pull off a Watch_Dogs 2 and release an upgraded version of the first game in every single way. More enemy variety and a more dynamic world that's actually online like the Dark Zone would be great starts to improve upon.
I never beat The Division. I did play it for a while and really enjoyed it. It was very fun for me and I'm not sure why I stopped playing it. Just one day, I moved on to other games. I look forward to the next one for sure!
