gross
Wow, more trash
Fox News but blue instead of red, great.
Yeah right they wish, TYT doesn't make nearly as much money.
all 24 hour news networks are garbage, a constant feed breeds shitty reporting
now we have a channel that won't admit the Armenian genocide 24 hours a day.
He's like the left version of alex jones
we have deep fakes, now we need something like that for audio (that's also accessible) and let the meme flow.
Well, he least little better from him. lol
Not really...haven't these guys been on record denying the Armenian Genocide and acting like total asshats. The shows name should really say it all.
not enough exclamation points in that title
wrong
Both are terrible
This has been a pretty consistent gossip piece since the show even started. The guy who started the show, Cenk Urgyr, is Turkish-American, which is why the show is called that. Urgyr was initially unaware of the implications of the name because, like most Americans, he didn't know about the Armenian Genocide. Both Urgyr and Ana Kasparian, his Armenian-American co-host who also runs the show, have repeatedly and vehemently stated that they do not deny the Armenian Genocide. Regardless, the idea that the show is based on denying the Armenian Genocide gets brought up constantly without ever being questioned. Usually its by conservative people looking to discredit the show (who likely otherwise would know nothing about the Armenian Genocide), but also by others who, intentionally or not, have bought into the idea without ever really questioning it. People don't need to make shit up in order to point out how the show is a shitty, conspiracy-mongering left-leaning equivalent of Fox News/Alex Jones, etc.
The only reason to watch is to see Ana Kasparian get heated and feisty. I know they like to push some more out there anti-establishment theories sometimes especially back in 2016, but is there something I'm missing if you guys think they're InfoWars equivalent? Like to the level of calling shootings fake, 9/11 truthers, pedophile rings, deep state, etc?
imo they're closer to what fox news was 4 years ago than Alex Jones. They're really biased and one-sided in their reporting, and they tend to report things that are speculation as facts. It's essentially what would be thought of as obnoxiously terrible if things like Fox News/Alex Jones didn't exist and have mainstream popularity. It's also just about the most extreme left-leaning/progressive fairly mainstream news source you can get, which says more about their opposition if anything.
absolutely terrible excuse, you'd have to be one dumb motherfucker to not look into a political group before naming your political commentary show after it.
TYT is bad but it ain't Alex Jones and it certainly ain't Fox.
In case it clear, I absolutely agree with this sentiment and it's yet another example of the kind of thing that makes me not watch the show, the lack of any real insight or research into the topics they report on, often reporting rumours or speculation as facts, etc.
wasn't meaning to imply you thought any way otherwise. i think it speaks volumes for their reporting if they couldn't even do a cursory checl of their show name before rolling with it.
My dude, he wrote an op-ed for his College Newspaper in 1991 denying the Genocide: https://dparchives.library.upenn.edu/cgi-bin/pennsylvania?a=d&d=tdp19911122-01.2.24 He knew full fucking well what that name means. He only recently retracted those statements (in 2016), as well as the statements he made in a 1999 op-ed on the same issue. However, when questioned about the name they still seem to get very antsy: UCLA Armenian Students’ Association Demonstrates Against the You..
No, I'm pretty sure he has been on record saying that stuff. He denied it in the past and I remember it being a big deal at the time, now he and his counter-part do not after being bashed and challenged on it.
He has stated that a lot of his views have changed. He used to be a pro-life republican when he was young and changed that over time.
You're right, all they are missing is an advert for dick pills during the break and then they're indistinguishable from each other.
It's still pretty funny in a fucked up way that they're named The Young Turks and Ana is Armenian
Yeah, he only changed his views recently. After being challenged and shit talked on for so long. Regardless though, he is pretty much Alex Jones of the democrat world. Doesn't help the shows co-host Ana is a asshole too who dissolves into screaming and yelling whenever things get tough. Regardless, don't see how any one can defend this show or the hosts. They're pretty terrible all around.
Alex Jones ? Come on, now you're being ridiculous
