That's real neat, many story heavy games would love to have a movie for sure, I bet Todd could make a Skyrim movie and I would watch it no question asked.
I went into this hearing that it made people cry bitch tears, thinking it couldn't possibly be as good as that. I cried bitch tears. So I really, really hope that this turns out well, because it was such a heartrendingly bittersweet story that unfolded and I'd hate to see it lost in translation.
OOOH YES BOI The game was absolutely wonderful. Those of you who haven't played it - I 100% recommend it (as do about 39,039 people on Steam). I'm hoping that the large budget he mentions means they're looking to create something of high quality, and not just shoveling money at a project they hope will stick. The game has a great premise, and wonderful execution. I hope they manage to achieve the same with an animation. For now we'll just have wait for the announcement of which studio(s) are on the project.
I recently played To The Moon at the recommendation of my BF, and I recall telling after him finishing the game that this could easily work as a feature film. I guess this is close enough.
After seeing this thread, I finally got around to playing further than the first 10 minutes. i.e. the whole thing, I really enjoyed it.
I'm super excited.
This really deserves a top tier adaptation, it's great material for that
This game made me cry hard, harder than any other media I've experienced. I have absolutely no idea what it was that made it hit so hard, but god damn it hit hard.
When does Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy get an anime adaption?
Probably the combined impact of all the emotional curveballs the game throws at you.
